I’m sure you’ll agree that it sounds quite unsuccessful to not be getting any calls but I assure you I’m going somewhere with this!
It’s a huge selling point at the networking events, clubs, socials that I go to when I get to say outloud “you’ll notice my phone hasn’t rang once since I’ve been here”. The reason is: my clients’ computers are healthy, they’re capable and empowered and I ultimately reduce costs by having clever measures in place to fix problems before they even happen!
I’ll walk you through a scenario: A client’s computer is full of stuff. The drive is over 90% full now!
AmbroTech’s RMM (Remote Monitoring & Management) catches this information and takes action! The RMM scans the computer and stores a report on what exactly is the issue, what’s taking up the space? Can it be deleted?
Then a series of important steps take place: the temporary folders, browser cache, application cache, broken shortcuts, old software: all removed to clear space (after a backup, of course). Then a command is sent to OneDrive to upload everything as soon as possible and clear it off of the computer to be auto-downloaded the next time it’s opened.
If this still hasn’t reduced the storage enough or if this is happening all too often, clever RMM lets us know by raising a ticket for us to dive deeper and inform the client if needed.
- The issue is caught without the client needing to notice themselves or contact us
- A report is recorded
- Actions are taken to fix the issue
- IF we’re still needed, a ticket is raised
- The client isn’t even bothered until we know what is wrong, what the fix is and how we’re going to apply that.
All this reduces about an hour of work and 10-15 minutes of calls into a 10 minute call/remote session.
